Eastern Avenue Apartments in Baltimore. Maryland. It is a perfect example of affordable global minimalist design. It is a new construction almost 20000 wood framed 15 unit urban infill apartment building with over 4000 of retail space located in the Highlandtown neighborhood. The building is designed to maximize the unit spaciousness and create a loft like feel while being extremely efficient to construct. I tried to make the building as green as possible by utilizing a green roof and solar thermal hot water along with added insulation and daylighting everywhere possible. The building is designed to engage with the neighborhood while maintaining privacy and amplify the greening of it that has already begun.
